Response to COVID-19 (Coronavirus)

 


At Newfield National Bank, the effects of the coronavirus (COVID-19) is a serious issue as it creates a disruption in the lives of individuals and businesses throughout the country, our state, and our community.  The health, safety, and welfare of our employees, customers, and community is our foremost concern, as well as continuing to deliver the quality products and services to our customers that we are known for.

 

It is important to let you know that we are actively monitoring the situation with information provided by reputable sources such as the World Health Organization (WHO), the Center for Disease Control (CDC), and health agencies from the state and local level.  We also feel it is important to let you know of the steps we are proactively taking to protect our employees, customers, and the community from the virus and provide you with information on its effects on our operations.

 


  • The bank continues to operate with a minimal amount of interruption in the services we provide to our customers.  While all branch locations continue to remain open on a normal schedule, circumstances may make it necessary for us to close locations, close public lobbies, or reduce hours of operations.

  • All public facilities at the bank are being regularly cleaned and sanitized by professional cleaning service companies.

  • Bank employees in public locations are using hand-sanitizer and are wearing plastic gloves while conducting transactions.  We recommend that customers regularly sanitize their debit cards, credit cards, and mobile phone and wash their hands or use a hand sanitizer after conducting transactions at an ATM or a payment terminal in stores.

  • Information on the virus, remaining healthy, and appropriate hygiene practices have been provided to all employees. Employees who are ill with a cough, fever, or other cold or flu-like symptoms have been instructed to stay at home until they are better.

  • We encourage our customers to utilize electronic banking services such as mobile banking, bill pay, ATMs, bank by telephone, and Internet banking to conduct their everyday banking transactions and to avoid coming to the bank.  If you need assistance in activating any of these services or have questions in using them, please contact your local branch or the Electronic Banking Department at 1-(800)-690-3440, ext. 8801.

  • Customers should beware of any scams that criminals may attempt to take advantage of the COVID-19 crisis.  Criminals may attempt to steal your personal, sensitive, or account  information with unusual telephone calls, e-mails, texts, or websites that appear to be from genuine government agencies or businesses.  These criminals may ask for account numbers, Social Security numbers, credit or debit card numbers, and log-in information.  Continue to monitor your account and transaction activity and report any unusual activity to the bank as soon as possible.
